Izzy Ampil was born in the Bronx and now lives in Brooklyn. She is, among other things, a Margins Fellow in Fiction at the Asian American Writers’ Workshop, a fact-checker at The Paris Review and The American Scholar, and a writer whose work appears in Reboot, The Daily Beast, BuzzFeed News, and The Wall Street Journal.​​
