Isabella Cacdac Ampil is a writer and artist who works between language and line. ​

​Her fiction has been supported by Periplus, the Asian American Writers Workshop, and Millay Arts.

 

She has contributed writing, editing, research, and commentary to The Paris Review and The Paris Review Daily, The American Scholar, Harper’s, The Drift, The Wall Street Journal, Reboot, Pitchfork, The Daily Beast, CNN, Wondery Media, CBC/Radio-Canada, and EBSCO.

As of 2026, she co-organizes ( P.D.F. ), an experimental school that takes the syllabus seriously as a form unto itself. She taught the inaugural course, Procrastination Literature, in spring of 2026 and is currently enrolled in the fall 2026 course, Experiences in Groups.

 

Since 2024, she has worked as the Editor & Communications Associate at Blank Forms, a curatorial platform specializing in experimental and creative music. She writes and edits texts related to all Blank Forms programs, including concerts, exhibitions, book and record publications, and archival initiatives, as well as managing public-facing communications channels and interfacing with press. ​​​​​​​​​​​​
